When you are injured onboard, you have rights including medical pay if you have to go home or if continued care is needed. There are a number of safety regulations that must be adhered to. If you were injured onboard it is always good to speak to a maritime lawyer to find out your rights and to see if you are entitled to compensation as some injuries may not heal properly or could affect you later in life.
