The photo department at Carnival is very toxic
From having to hit targets to managers who act inhuman. I had thoughts of harming myself 3 months after signing on and I took an emergency sign off and went back home but then after 2 months I returned and did a full contract because I needed money. The department does have a few good managers but you don’t get to choose your manager you work with whoever has been scheduled to be on your ship. So you could have one Amazing contract and the next will feel like a living hell.
Carnival has one of the best crew life from the parties and just the people. Not everyone is nice but you will certainly meet your people that will vibe with you. The company has more than 26 ships hence schedule is good. The food is was sometimes bad in the crew mass but as photo you have guest area privileges so I could go and eat in guest area as appointed by the hotel director.
My advise only take the position if you desperate for money if you looking for a career I will strongly against advise picking photo.
