Advice on how to apply for cruise ships, what qualifications are needed, and where to fid places to apply. - Most cruise lines want you to have hotel or cruise experience - You must be able to pass a criminal background check - You must be able to obtain a passport - You can apply directly on the company website or through an agency in your country. See our section on scams before you use an agency - Some cruise lines pay for your flight and others do not - Your CV needs to be very well written. The cruise lines wants to see that you can articulate in English, but more importantly, they use computer software to scan the CV's for keywords. Only the resumes that are detected through the software system will be selected for interviews. We help write CV's. See the section about this in Application Pocess - NEVER pay an agency to get a job on a cruise ship. This is against the MLC an is most likely a scam to steal your money. Do not send your passport information over Whatsapp or to anyone until you are with an agency and being offered a contract. - After an interview, it can take weeks or even months to get an assignment. It depends on the needs of the cruise line.
